One of my favorite bathrooms ever was the master bath we remodeled in our very first house in Connecticut. The space wasn't very large but the nooks and crannies worked to make the space so charming and really very functional. The vanity mirror was actually once a fireplace mantel from a turn of the century farm house that was being torn down not far away - I think I paid $250 for it. The Julia Faucet was a favorite from Waterworks which was a new source on the scene at the time. Their first store in Danbury was about an hour away - I thought I had discovered plumbing Mecca. And the roses were this California girl's prized accomplishment after navigating new gardening protocols associated with the harsh Connecticut winter. The years I spent in this house were filled with children and learning and lots of hard work. Such absolutely precious years of my life.
