Dining Room Set for Spring !
A candid shot from our dining room table! Ready to greet the new season with snapdragons from the garden in my tag sale collection of McCoy floral holders, vintage auction house Wedgwood dinner plates and my mother's collection of Gorham Strasbourg sterling that she bartered for her handmade turquoise jewelry.
This time of year my heart nearly takes flight with springs' approach. As most of you know, I'm a bit of nature/garden sort of girl. My head is clear and my focus laser sharp when my bare feet can walk the naked ground.
And now it is finally here! The First Day of Spring. March 21st.
The Vernal Equinox - when the number of daylight hours are equal to the number of nighttime hours, signalizing the New Year (Naw-Ruz) for cultures & religions from the ancient Zoroastrian to modern day Baha'i. For peoples around the world it is a very special time of year ... when the world re-awakes and things become anew. Wishing our friends from every clime and every tradition the happiness of the season and the fullness of its promise. May we have many chances to sit at the table together this season.
